Another very interesting observation by many Biblical scholars is that the whole book of the Bible entitled “Song of Solomon” is completely out of character with the rest of Hebrew literature and most like erotic devotional literature of the Tamil country - particularly of the Nālāyiru Divya Prabandham. The conclusion is that the writer was influenced by the Tamil genre. Many pious redactors of the Bible over the centuries wanted to omit it from the canon because of its erotic character - yet it persisted
